Jacob 4 Months

Two Beauties

More Joe Cool

Scenes from Ana's farewell party

It was so hard to say goodbye to Ana. Although she is staying for a second year in the US she decided to move to a family on the west coast. She is now in Portland Oregon. The time difference makes it difficult to connect via skype while Ezra is still awake. He really misses her though. He asks about her nearly every day, and for the first month or so he watched a slideshow of photos of her frequently.

While Ana was here Ezra perfected his walking, I went through surgery for my shoulder and a pregnancy with Jacob, Ezra startes talking more and more, Jacob was born. Luckily Ana was here long enough to see Jacob's first smile. Ana is a vibrant, warm person that anyone will feel comfortable around. I think Ezra will always remember her, and we will certainly all love her as part of our family forever.

Jacob Carter Laiacona

Jacob Carter Laiacona was born April 15, 2010 at 4:05 pm. He weighed 6 lb, 8 oz and was 18.5 in long. These are the first photos I have of him on my camera because I had misplaced it until today, 3 weeks later. He already looks so different than when he was born. He has gained nearly a pound, becoming quite a meaty fellow.

Jacob's First Hike

Here we are on Mother's Day hiking on Charlottesville's best kept secret trail: The Secluded Farm Trail at Monticello's Kemper Park. Jacob is 3 weeks old and both boys and their parents thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful day.

Hiking to the end

Here we are enjoying a family hike at Ragged Mountain Resevoir 3 weeks before my due date. We walked 3 miles that day. This pregnancy was very different from my first. I never could have managed that with Ezra. Although I was sore afterwards, it was a beautiful hike.

Ezra turns 2

Yep, Ezra turned 2 and his pregnant mom was so out of it that this is the one photo I managed to get! I'll post more if I can round some up from other guests!
